LIKE FATHER,
LIKE SON
A passion for technology runs in the Jakschik family. Since 2020, father and son have been working as an installation team for Geis Healthcare, installing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners worldwide – from Geneva to Los Angeles, from Miami to Brisbane. They’re on the job wherever high-tech equipment weighing several metric tons needs to be installed in clinics with millimeter precision.

The best projects? Father and son agree: the ones they do together. Traveling through Australia as a family team, working in Shanghai, breaking new ground in Singapore – that’s what brings them closer. Chris Jakschik especially enjoys broadening his horizons: getting to know other ways of life, exploring unfamiliar places after work. His personal list of favorites reads like a travel guide of superlatives: Geneva, Brisbane, Bergen, Los Angeles, Miami, Sydney.
In the end, what matters most to both of them is the same thing: an MRI machine that’s up and running. A clinic that’s ready to go. And the knowledge that, as father and son, they’ve achieved something together that supports state-of-the-art diagnostics – and, with it, the health of people worldwide.

Chris Jakschik, 29, a trained electrician specializing in energy and building technology, complements the team with his expertise in wiring complex MRI systems. His strengths lie in precision – and flexibility. Here today, on another continent tomorrow: he adapts not only geographically to constantly changing situations but also professionally. The ultra-high-field systems from Siemens Healthineers, in particular, demand his full expertise.
“Every construction site has a different layout.”

JAKSCHIK
Heiko Jakschik, 56, a trained automotive mechatronics technician and certified professional driver, brings years of experience to the table. He manages the job sites, coordinates processes, keeps track of everything – and delivers results. “Top quality, under constantly changing conditions,” is how he describes his own standards. He handles at least four projects per month; on large-scale projects, a single installation can sometimes keep him busy for four weeks straight.
“I like being my own boss.”
